Our "New House" (you have to say it like you are an announcer on a game show)

So our closing date is February 23rd, right after both of our birthdays.  Although we aren't even in the house yet, the planning has begun.  Here are a few photos of the house (note the staging, barf).

Now here are some of our plans...First things first, we must paint the cabinet doors white, like the appliances and backsplash tile.  Why they are ivory we have no idea.  Randy did some quick photoshops so that we could put some of our ideas out there...none of them are for sure, but here are a few concept photos

This is the color we are currently thinking for the kitchen..Valspar, Laura Ashely home, Olive Grove( LA916).

The color is similar to the one we have in our current apartment, but a touch lighter, more yellow.  We love the "avocado" color we have lived with for the past 4 years, so why not take it with us?!  There are many other changes we want to make, like the hardware on the cabinets, the backsplash, etc. My dream hardware would be some brushed nickel scoop pulls and simple round knobs..similar to these
